Safety

House calls, done right.

The Appt brings appointments into homes, which only works if everyone feels safe, clients and providers both. Here's how we keep it that way.

For clients

Book and pay on the platform

Every booking and payment runs through The Appt, so there's a record of who came, when, and what was paid. If anyone asks you to pay cash or e-transfer on the side, decline and let us know.

Know who is coming

Your confirmation shows your provider’s name and service details. Providers are reviewed and approved before they can take bookings, and their reviews are public on their profile.

Prep your space

Clear a spot with good light and an outlet if the service needs one, and settle pets somewhere comfortable. Your provider brings the rest.

Share your plans

For a first appointment, it never hurts to let someone know a provider is coming by and when.

Trust your gut

You can end an appointment at any time. If something ever feels wrong, you don’t owe anyone an explanation. If you’re in danger, call 911. Then tell us at hello@theappt.com and we’ll take it seriously.

For providers

Keep bookings on the platform

On-platform bookings mean the client is identified, the payment is guaranteed before you travel, and there’s a record of the appointment. Off-platform requests lose you all three.

Share your schedule

Let someone know where your appointments are and when you expect to finish, especially first visits to a new client.

You can decline any job

You choose who you work with. You’re never required to accept a booking, and you can leave any appointment where you feel unsafe. Your safety outranks any cancellation policy, we’ll sort the booking out after.

Arrive prepared

Confirm the service, address, and any details in advance so there are no surprises at the door.

Report anything

If a client makes you uncomfortable, tell us at hello@theappt.com. We’d rather hear about small things early than big things late, and we’ll act on it.

Something happen? Email hello@theappt.com or use the chat, we read everything and we act on it. In an emergency, always call 911 first.
