Terms of Service

The Appt is a platform that connects clients with independent beauty and wellness providers in Victoria, BC. The Appt is not a provider of beauty or wellness services. Providers are independent contractors. They are not employees or agents of The Appt.

You must be at least 18 to use the platform. Keep your account information accurate and your password secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

Clients pay the service price plus a $2 booking fee at checkout. Payments are processed by Stripe.

Providers keep 90% of the service price and 100% of tips. The Appt retains a 10% platform fee on each completed booking.

You can cancel or reschedule from your dashboard. Cancel at least 24 hours before your appointment for a full refund. With less than 24 hours notice, 50% of the service is charged and the rest is refunded. No-shows are charged in full.

Tips are returned on any cancellation. The $2 booking fee is refunded only when you cancel at least 24 hours ahead.

Providers are responsible for holding any licenses their work requires, carrying their own insurance, paying their own taxes, and delivering services professionally and lawfully. Providers are also subject to the provider terms.

Use the platform lawfully. Do not use it for fraud, harassment, or any misuse. Reviews should be honest and respectful.

The platform is provided "as is." The Appt does not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services provided by independent providers. You book and use providers at your own discretion.

To the extent permitted by law, The Appt is not liable for damages arising from services provided by independent providers or from your use of the platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
